Siobhan Hawthorne is the lead for marketing and outreach at ChristianaCare’s Gene Editing Institute. As a part of her strategic role, she has introduced the CRISPR in a Box complete gene editing kit to STEM teachers in Delaware and has forged a path to launch the kit throughout the county via national distributors. Together with her colleagues at the Institute, Siobhan believes that there is an important calling for today’s kids to become tomorrow’s gene editors in a burgeoning field that holds amazing potential for curing many currently untreatable medical conditions.
