Rachael Reyes -Vazquez


As a muralist and born and raised Philadelphian, Rachael has experience with community engagement, art skill set, and local partnerships and relationships. She has been in the non-profit realm for over 7 years and started her own 501c called Uncommon Philly in May of 2023.

After losing her father to gun violence in 2017, she started to express herself through art with the new life that was given to her after his passing. A Principal key in her artwork is her passion to bring attention to mental health, trauma and healing. Through grieving, she discovered how the power of art could help people heal and be more aware of issues we face daily such as trauma, gun violence, environmental and social justice.With her passion for art and healing, She has hosted and conducted art workshops for several Local businesses/schools such as Friends Benjamin Parkway (Center City), Revolutionary High School (Center City), YMCA (South Philadelphia),Mothers In Charge, and Mural Arts Philadelphia. She has also publicly spoken on Gun violence Prevention and Social justice issues at Philadelphia City hall, love Park, Cheney university, Drexel Science Center, in the city of Chicago and Miami, Florida.
