Monica Terése Carranza, Esq. is an innovation and transformation leader with over a decade of industry experience as a CIO, focused on delivering public sector solutions. Currently, Monica is a member of Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) Worldwide Public Sector Digital Innovation Team. As a Digital Innovation Leader, Monica helps public sector customers learn and use Amazon’s innovation mechanisms to solve mission-critical problems. Before joining AWS, Monica spent 14 years working in the public sector at both the City of Chicago and State of Illinois in a variety of policy and IT leadership roles. Successful in providing a collaborative executive-level forum for strategic planning and decision-making, Monica is passionate about the role technology can play in enabling real solutions for her customers. Monica received her undergraduate degree from New York University and law degree from Loyola University of Chicago law school.
