Now nearly 10 years later, Rushdy and McKnight are business partners at The Riverwards Group. What started as five homes per year in 2012 has grown to 130 homes completed in 2020 , and plans to deliver 750 homes over the next three years.

Rushdy serves as Managing Partner of The Riverwards Group, where, he has completed more than 60 projects in Philadelphia’s booming riverwards neighborhoods, totaling close to 500 mainly single-family homes delivered over the last eight years. Under Rushdy’s leadership, the company currently is working on the following projects:

North 5th Square, a development of 60 homes and commercial space in South Kensington;

Avenue 30, a development of 30 homes in East Kensington;

Kensington Courts, a development of 155 homes and 8 commercial spaces also in East Kensington &

Ave V, a development of 281 homes and 4 commercial spaces also in South Kensington.

Rushdy & his partner McKnight has implemented big-scale developers’ systems at The Riverwards Group, establishing a customer service protocol that enables a unique experience for prospective buyers.

In 2017, The Riverwards Group was named to Philadelphia magazine’s list of the “next wave of Philadelphia developers,” which highlighted nine developers remaking the city’s neighborhoods in big ways. In addition to Philadelphia magazine, the company and Rushdy were featured in articles in The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Business Journal, Curbed Philly and Spirit News.

In 2018, Mo was recognized by The Philadelphia Business Journal as one of 40 business leaders under the age of 40 with major accomplishments in the Development industry.

Mo also is on the Board of the Building Industry Association. He currently serves as the treasurer of BIA and moving to become Vice President in 90 days.

Mo also is on the board and the Chairman of the Philadelphia Accelerator Fund. A non-profit fund promoting affordable housing financing tools for black and brown businesses.
