Maya joined the Science Center in 2014. As a FirstHand Program Manager, Maya is responsible for making sure over 300 Philadelphia middle schoolers experience the wonders of science within 3675 Market. She has been teaching in non-traditional spaces for over ten years and loves the creativity and freedom it affords. When Maya isn't at the Science Center, you can find her tending her honeybees, fixing up her century old home or bicycling around the city.
