Emily joined the Science Center in 2020. As the Program and Community Engagement Associate for Venture Café, Emily is responsible for end-to end logistics for every Thursday Gathering. This includes managing a volunteer corps of Venture Cafe Ambassadors in addition to designing new initiatives to increase engagement for weekly programming. Prior to joining the Science Center, Emily served 1700 hours with Public Allies, an AmeriCorps program which pairs individuals with nonprofit groups. During her time as a Public Ally, Emily coordinated a youth leadership program for high school students in Delaware and restructured her partner organization’s Salesforce database to better track GPAs and grade data for at-risk youth.   Emily is a graduate of the University of Delaware, graduating with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Sociology and Anthropology.
