ABOUT THE SESSION

Please note, this is a Hybrid session meaning you can join us in-person or virtually. If you plan to join in-person, please bring proof of full vaccination. Masks are required unless actively eating or drinking.

If the history of computing serves as a model, when designers adopt a new technology, it has the potential to unleash an explosion of creative opportunities. Over the last decade, biotechnology has reached beyond the science lab into the studio. The emergence of biodesign comes with implications for everything, including architecture, fashion, health, medicine, and more.

Join a discussion among pioneers in biodesign Orkan Telhan and Karen Hogan and organizers of the Biodesign Challenge Daniel Grushkin and Veena Vijayakumar to learn about biodesign’s history and its future role in a sustainable economy.

There will be a special demo of the B | Reactor by Biorealize with CEO, Ricky Solorzano. Their easy-to-use and affordable technlogies can be used right in the studio or lab, making biodesign simpler and faster than ever before.
