Join us for a spotlight on the most promising technologies and developments in the MedTech industry with an introduction from Tiffany Wilson, President and CEO of the University City Science Center and industry overview from Andrew Fish, Executive Director of the AdvaMed Center for Digital Health and AdvaMed’s Head of Sector Initiatives.

AdvaMed is the leading trade association advancing medical technology in the U.S. and around the world. In his role with the Center for Digital Health, Mr. Fish supports the Center’s Board of Directors and member companies and oversees AdvaMed’s global policy and advocacy agenda on a wide range of digital health issues, including regulation, reimbursement, cybersecurity, and data stewardship and privacy. As AdvaMed’s Head of Sector Initiatives, Mr. Fish oversees policy development and operations of the association’s membership sectors and leads AdvaMed’s Diabetes and Radiation Therapy sectors.

Mr. Fish has an extensive record of solving high-stakes challenges at the complex intersections of regulated business, health care, science, technology, law, media, and politics.

Prior to his executive director position with the Center for Digital Health, Mr. Fish served as AdvaMed’s Chief Strategy Officer from 2016-2021 As chief strategy officer, Mr. Fish led the association’s strategic planning, and oversaw AdvaMed's global, regulatory, and payment departments.

Mr. Fish joined AdvaMed in 2010 as first Executive Director of AdvaMedDx, AdvaMed’s diagnostics division that operates as the U.S. trade association representing leading manufacturers of medical diagnostic tests. Mr. Fish served in that role through 2017, leading the development of AdvaMedDx into a globally influential advocacy organization.

Prior to joining AdvaMedDx, Mr. Fish was Senior Vice President of Legal and Government Affairs, General Counsel, and Secretary for the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA), representing manufacturers of non-prescription medicines. Mr. Fish also led the American Cancer Society’s federal lobbying team as the Senior Director of Federal Government Relations.

Earlier in Mr. Fish’s career, he served in the Senate-confirmed post of Assistant Secretary of Agriculture for Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs. Prior to that position, he worked twice for the U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee, first as a professional staff member and later as deputy chief counsel.

In his legal practice, Mr. Fish focused on biotechnology regulation, as well as on a wide range of food, drug and agriculture issues.

Mr. Fish holds a BA from Yale University and a JD from Stanford Law School.
