The selected article is an analysis of the link between the genetic elements that are associated with Gaucher and how it connects to Parkinson’s within the Ashkenazi Jewish community. Join the CIC Journal Club as we discuss the genetic bottleneck that created a founder effect that increased the frequency of the disease alleles within the population.

Discussion will be held in a forum open to any level of scientific understanding or background.
