Building on his previous COVID Conversation, Jason will provide a quick update on the state COVID vaccinations and then open the floor to discuss vaccine shaming. If you are given an opportunity to "jump the line" and get vaccinated ahead of when you're eligible, should you? If you are unsure about the vaccine and hesitant to get vaccinated, should you be shamed for it? Jason is also happy to discuss any other COVID vaccine questions you may have - come join the conversation! This session will discuss some of the innovations around the COVID vaccines and answer participant questions about their safety, efficacy and design. The session will also address social, economic and structural barriers to vaccine efforts and help equip participants with tools and resources to address some of these concerns in their local community. Jason Diaz earned his Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania with a focus on virology. He is currently an assistant professor at La Salle University in the Integrated Science, Business, and Technology Program.
