ABOUT THE SESSION

(Link will go live on 04/15/21)

Arium is a browser-based platform for building, sharing and attending 3D exhibition spaces with spatial video chat founded by Aidan Nelson and Dan Oved. In Arium, a 3D rendered environment and positional audio foster a fluid, organic social experience. This permits larger (100+) event sizes that feel fun and natural for guests, rather than overwhelming. Event hosts are able to customize the space to match the needs of their event and their organization. And their guests control who they talk to and what they see and experience, bringing a sense of social curiosity and exploration to remote interactions. We've been pleased to work with CultureHub, SeoulArts & LaMaMa Umbria, MIT Media Lab (for the Ars Electronica Festival), the Caribbean Fine Art Fair and other educational and creative organizations to foster community engagement online through a sense of shared experience. In this session, we will talk through our design process with the Arium team, CEO Aidan Nelson and CTO David Oved, then jump into the space and try it out!
