Thursday Gathering (06/13)

June 13 @ 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm UTC-5

  • 3:30-4:00pm Maximizing Your Thursday Gathering Experience w/ Natalie Coyle | This session is for those new to Venture Café to hear about the resources, opportunities and programming offered, have someone ask them about what they are looking to get by attending, and potentially connect them to the right person or, at least, place them on the right path.
  •  4:00-4:45pm Venture Café Philly Feedback Jam w/ Jen Rajchel | Help us co-create the Thursday Gatherings. We want to hear from you. What do you want to see more of? What questions are at the top of your list to explore? We’ll look at Venture Café Philly programming past, present, and even a few future sneak peeks for what’s coming up this summer.
  • 5:00-6:00pm Maximizing Your Product-Market Fit w/ Lindsay Tabas | Technology teams cite a myriad of reasons for epic failure rates. Each reason can be traced back to a missing detail on the user. The popular blueprint for product development, centered around Product-Market Fit (PMF) as an inflection point, is misguiding. This presentation uses professional experiences and real-world case studies to introduce a new conceptual framework to supplant PMF.
  • 6:00-7:00pm Backstage Philadelphia Cohort Panel w/ Christie Pitts  | Please join Backstage Philadelphia to celebrate and learn more about what our cohort* (see below for the cohort list!) has accomplished over the past 12 weeks. We’re hosting this event for the Philadelphia startup community and ecosystem builders, especially eligible local investors. We’ll be holding a panel discussion to highlight our founders, their recent milestones, and their experiences participating in Backstage Accelerator. Come out to be a part of what these founders are up to next!
  • 7:00-8:00pm Emotions at Play w/ Nonya Collier

Come ready to laugh and learn in this interactive workshop to help you get more momentum with your new venture or idea by tapping into fears, hopes, and other emotions. We’ll use activities from improv comedy and other games to reflect on how you can increase your impact by reflecting on your own emotions and resonating with customers.
