  • 3:15-4:15 Conversation Corner: What Leadership Lessons Can We Learn from Game of Thrones (GOT)? Venture Café Ambassador | For those loyal GOT fans, this last season has thrown us for some loops. While, leadership and power are always key themes, we now have the ability to look at the long game across the seasons and understand the impact of key moves and personalities. Join us for an informal conversation on what we’ve learned.
  • 3:30-4:30pm Primer Art for Everyone, Anytime | Susan Myers | Established in 1872, the Association for Public Art (aPA) is the nation’s first private, nonprofit civic organization dedicated to creating a “museum without walls” by integrating public art and urban design. Myers, aPA’s Assistant Curator and Project Manager will provide a brief introduction to the organization as background for a discussion focusing on the process and installation of recent contemporary public art projects commissioned by aPA in Philadelphia.
  • 4:30-5:30pm Art and Creative Placemaking | Moderator: Angela McQuillan Panelists: Amberella, Stephanie Fenner, Ishknits, and Alloyius Mcilwaine
    Artists have the power to increase genuine public engagement with a space by creating artworks that welcome and inspire their visitors and sparking meaningful dialogues. Creative placemaking can be thought of as a catalyst that brings a public space to life, making it a location where things are happening and where people want to be.  In this panel discussion we will hear from four artists working in diverse mediums on how their work revitalizes public spaces and their varied approaches to creating their work. They will dive into the benefits and challenges of taking art out of the studio and putting it into the hands of the community.

    Professionals that want to start a full or part-time consulting practice will learn in 10 steps how to leverage their expertise for part or full-time income from the author of “Consulting: The Million Dollar Start-Up Control Your Financial Future.”
  • 5:30-6:30pm Workforce Development: The Interplay of Skills and Credentials | Moderator: Nick Frontino Panelists: Paul Harrington, Hadass Sheffer, Jackie Linton, Irwin Kirsh | How will the interplay of skills and credentials impact the future of workforce development? This panel will discuss the current and future states of workforce development.
  • 6:30-7:30pm Fireside Chat: Social Responsibility Inside Tech/Corporate Culture  |  Moderator and fellow attorney, Karl Fowlkes will be picking the brain of civil rights and entertainment/corporate attorney and professor Timothy N Welbeck on some of the flaws of corporate/tech culture as it relates to diversity and how mission-driven work must remain inside the quest for technological advancement.
