Harnessing the power of the pitch.
One of my favorite things to do as a business mentor and coach is work with founders on their pitch. My first pitch competition was in 2018 at the first Black Girl Ventures Philly Pitch contest. I came in second place behind Sherill Mosee of Minkee Blue, an OnRamp presenter and Mom Your Business Mentor. (Listen to her podcast episode here.)
Ever since I have studied, crafted and helped numerous founders create a winning business pitch and gotten lots help along the way. This weeks OnRamp session is all about the pitch. The elevator pitch, the quick pitch (3-5 minutes) and the pitch meeting.
Each have a different dynamic and a different approach. Register, attend and then hang out at Startup Round Table to take your pitch out for a spin or to learn more. If you are pitching next week at The Stimulate Your Startup Pitch Competition for a chance to win $9000 in cash and prizes be sure to schedule coaching sessions with our team. Also remember this cohorts pitch will be part of the BPHL Festival so get ready for this great opportunity where hundreds, even thousands, view your pitch! Working with Founders on their pitch is the part of my residency I looked forward to the most. You won’t regret it. Let’s get ready to harness the power of the pitch!
